CK Thakker ‘Takwani’, is a former Judge of the Supreme Court of India (2004-2008). He started practice in 1968 in the High Court of Gujarat. He taught part time at Sir LA Shah College, Ahmedabad, till his elevation to the High Court of Gujarat in 1990. He was elevated as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Himachal Pradesh in 2000 and was later transferred as the Chief Justice of the High Court of the Judicature at Bombay in 2001. He is the author of Civil Procedure [Volume 7] of the Halsbury’s Laws of India, published by LexisNexis India.
