This book, ‘Supreme Court and Legislatures on reservation, contains the origin of castes from 3200 years, from the Mahabharata regime. British rulers came to India in 1600 and played caste politics to continue their ruling by enacting hundreds of Acts and Rules. List of these Acts, reservation made in Indian Councils Acts 1858, 1861, 1892, 1909, Government of India Acts 1919 and entire Government of India Act 1935, Round table conferences and Indian Independence Act are there in this book. In this book, the author’s endower is that in a democracy, the gap between rich and poor will be a continuous process. Extending the benefit of reservation to the persons below the creamy layer is a must. While doing so, the Government’s policy must mould to reach the reservation benefits to the poorest of the poor at the first instance, and after that has to be extended based on castes and social status.
