The International Yearbook of Industrial Statistics, UNIDO’s main statistical publication, presents the latest developments in industrial sectors around the world through dashboards, visualizations and concise analysis. This edition of the Yearbook focuses on the economic, social, and environmental dimensions of industrialization and broader development milestones. Global manufacturing, which grew by 3.2 per cent in 2022, has proven to be a driving force in global economic development. Although industrializing economies only represent 9 per cent of global manufacturing value added (MVA), their manufacturing sector has proven to be an engine of economic growth, achieving a higher growth rate compared to many already industrialized economies.
