This Book “Acquittal of Accused in Dishonour of Cheque” contains the relevant essential portions of different judgements of Acquittal in Dishonour of Cheques under N.I. Act, 1881, Act No.26 of 1881. There are several commentaries on N.I. Act, 1881 and also certain in particular dealing with Dishonour of Cheques only. The importance of this topic “Dishonour of Cheques and Acquittals” needs no further emphasis being well known in the light of a sea of litigations in the Judicial Institutions. The Magistrate Courts in the country are heavily over burdened because of huge filing and the work load concerned with Dishonour of Cheques. Several cases end in conviction, many cases are being compounded, equally in several cases acquittals are being recorded. The judgements may be concurrent, reversing and the like in the judicial hierarchy. May be, the defence lawyers, more interested in acquittal cases but equally the prosecution – complainant vide advocates may also be interested in taking care to see such weak points specified in such judgements recording acquittal are to be remedied and rectified.
